Enter the two meter readings and the number of residential units.
Residential meter · water + sewer
Egypt water bill calculator
Use two meter readings, the number of homes sharing the meter and the sewer-service status. The calculation stays in your browser and does not ask for your address, account number or subscriber identity.
Current minus previous
Whole cubic metres only; reversed readings are rejected instead of producing a negative bill
Tier follows each residential unit
The unit count changes both the per-unit tier and fixed service charges
The official result rounds upward
The calculator shows every component and the final rounding adjustment
Transparent method
A dated software-parity estimate, not a hidden tariff claim.
Masr Pocket was checked against the active EWRA residential calculator on 29 August 2026. The engine versions that behavior, including its staged rounding, whole-volume repricing above 30 m³ per unit, the 80% wastewater component, regulatory and service charges, VAT and rounding to a whole pound. Rules can change, so the date and official link stay visible.
This scope is deliberately narrow: standard residential accounts using whole-m³ readings. Commercial activity, special supply arrangements, meter rollover, arrears, instalments and company-specific corrections are outside the estimate.
Frequently asked questions
What readings should I enter?
Enter the current and previous whole-metre readings from the same meter. Consumption is the current reading minus the previous reading. The estimator rejects a current reading below the previous one.
Why does the number of residential units matter?
The active EWRA calculator divides total consumption by the number of units sharing the meter, selects the residential tier from that per-unit value, rounds per-unit charges, then multiplies them by the unit count.
How is wastewater charged?
When sewer service is selected, the active calculator adds a wastewater charge equal to 80% of the rounded per-unit water charge, multiplied by the number of residential units.
Why can the bill jump above 30 m³ per unit?
As soon as per-unit consumption exceeds 30 m³, the active calculator reprices the full water volume at the highest residential rate instead of charging only the excess at that rate. This creates a visible discontinuity.
Why is the final amount rounded up?
The active calculator adds water, wastewater, regulatory, sustainability/customer-service and VAT components, then rounds the subtotal up to the next whole Egyptian pound.
Is this my official payable bill?
No. It is an independent reproduction of the active public calculator’s residential arithmetic as checked on 29 August 2026. Your water company bill remains the final reference and may include arrears, meter items or corrections.
